Discussion about the future Front-end Development

I have different views on what we should anticipate from the front-end development.

Throughout the last two years, I constantly watched the scary titles about All software engineers being wiped out of the labor market due to AI being better than programmers.

I have different view about what is going to be in the future.

Here is the list of my predictions of the future.

  1. Expansion duties
  2. More D&D work
  3. Less writing CSS

Let’s dive into this list with an explanation for each prediction.

Expansion duties

For the last few years, the market has rapidly changed focus from solitary front-end developers working apart from back-end developers. This trend has happened due to more existing design components being copied and pasted.

Currently, the front-end developer should learn the back-end side and cloud services. Cloud services make it easier to deploy to the server while the back-end part is becoming more oriented for design.

Take the example of the new version and trend of Next.js and React.js. The server components will come closer and closer to the back of history where we had static pages in the server…
